China women only able grab the 12th place for this year Algarve Women Cup tournament which held at Portugal. The Asian side lose to Holland with 2-4 penalty shoot out after the game ended with 1-1.

During grouping stage, their are at bottom of Group C together with Norway and Denmark. Whereas at the end, the Norwegian women clinched the title after beaten the Polish women with 3-0 in the final stage of the tournament.
